Discord Giveaway Bot & Builder

A Discord giveaway bot is an app you invite into your server. It posts the giveaway and counts entries from a reaction or a button. It runs the timer and names the winners when time is up. If you run giveaways every week with thousands of entrants, that automation is worth the setup.

This page is not that. It is a builder and a winner picker, and it never touches your server. You get the finished announcement, the entry rules, and a checklist for the end of the giveaway. You also get a random draw, run from a list you paste in.

A bot needs an invite, permissions, and someone who remembers its commands. Most servers run a handful of giveaways a year, and for those the slow part was never counting reactions. It was writing a message that answers every question before someone asks it in chat.

A giveaway gives a quiet member a reason to post. What it does:

• •It wakes up quiet members. Reacting is the smallest first step.
• •It gives the week a deadline everyone can see coming.
• •It rewards the members you already have, not strangers.
• •It is measurable. Entries against member count shows who still pays attention.

The honest caveat: a giveaway buys attention, not loyalty. Prize hunters join, enter, and leave. If the prize has nothing to do with your community, that is most of who you attract. Tie the prize to the reason people came. Plan what happens the week after, or you are paying for a spike.

1. 1.Fill in the prize, how many people win, and when it starts and ends. Pick your timezone. The markdown message carries a Discord timestamp, so every member sees the end time in their own zone. Plain text cannot do that, so it spells the time out in the zone you picked.
2. 2.Choose how people enter. A reaction asks for the least. Joining a server, completing a Zealy quest, or submitting an answer ask for more and filter harder.
3. 3.Set who can enter: a required role, a minimum account age, and any rules of your own. These go into the announcement and into the checklist. What you promised and what you check stay the same.
4. 4.Copy the announcement into your giveaway channel and pin it. Switch the format to plain text for anywhere outside Discord, which cannot show Discord's formatting or its live timestamps.
5. 5.When the timer runs out, work through the checklist, paste the qualifying names into the winner picker, and draw. If you promised bonus entries, turn off Remove repeated names and paste a name once per entry it earned.

Almost every giveaway argument comes from something the announcement did not say. Set these before you post:

• •Publish the rules with the prize. A rule added later looks rigged.
• •Give the exact end time. "Ends Friday" means five different things.
• •Set a minimum account age. It stops accounts made that morning.
• •Say how you draw, then draw that way.
• •Announce winners in the giveaway channel. A DM looks like no winner.
• •Set a claim deadline and a redraw rule. 48 hours is normal.
• •Promise a prize you can actually hand over.

Write the deadline and the redraw rule down before you need them. Then neither is a judgement call on the day.

One thing this tool cannot do for you is the law. Prize draws are regulated, and the rules differ by country and by prize value. Giving away something valuable? Ask someone who knows your jurisdiction. Put the limits in the small print field.

Post the winners, thank the people who entered and did not win, and say what is coming next. That one message is what turns a giveaway from a transaction into a reason to keep watching the channel.
