Testing Quests and Questboards

This guide explains how to test your quests and questboards before making them live for contributors.

Basics

Testing quests before publishing

You can test any quest, whether it's new, in draft, or published. This helps ensure contributors can complete the quest correctly.

1. Open the quest editor page.
2. Click preview button at the top of the page.
3. Complete the quest as if you were a contributor.
4. Click 'Test Claim' at the bottom.
5. You'll see if the test passed or failed right away.

Testing the entire questboard

You can test your whole questboard as if you were a contributor. This creates real claims, but they don't count towards your subscription quota.

1. Go to the admin questboard page.
2. Click 'Preview Questboard' at the top.
3. Select a quest from a module.
4. Fill in the required details.
5. Click 'Claim' at the bottom.
6. Repeat for other quests if needed.

Resetting test claims

Click the reset button at the top on the quest board preview to reset your claims. If you do this when a quest is opened, it will only reset that quest's claim. If you do it on the questboard, it will reset all your claims.
